July Joys :)

So... it's been a while- whoops! I thought I'd be bored out of my mind this summer, but really I've been staying busy with good things! Between nannying, spending time with my family, and laying out by the pool, blogging has sort of been pushed to the back burner. Sorry about that!

It's safe to say that I've had the best July so far! A few summer-only things have helped to make this possible:

Number One: Fourth Of July
The older I get, truly the more thankful I am to live in the U.S! Even though I loved New Zealand, the United States is the only country I'd want to really live in. I'm thankful for our soldiers, freedom, and fireworks... One of the best holidays in my opinion! This year I spent the day at the pool with my siblings, then we ate Cantina 1511 (mexican on an American holiday? whoops!), and finished watching fireworks downtown.

 Number Two: Summer Storms
Let's clarify: I like them when I'm not home alone, and when I'm not at the pool. Watching storms in during the day is great. However, the last two big ones we've had, I've been home alone. I had to let in Molly girl to keep me company. She's always a reliable storm-buddy.

Number Three: Weddings
My sister's best friend, Stephanie, got married this past Saturday (she looked BEAUTIFUL)! Steph did somewhat of a "Do It Yourself" wedding, so the day before she tied the knot, my mom and I helped put together the bouquets and boutonnieres. The final product? :::

Number Four: My Twentieth Birthday :)

I wish I had more pictures to sum up the day! But It started with church at Elevation with my brother and sister-in-law (best way to start a day!). They took me out to a breakfast place, Briggs, where I ate the most chocolate-chip pancakes of my life. After we went white water rafting and rock climbing at the center in Charlotte (coolest place ever), and finished with dinner as a whole family at Cantina, followed by cake and presents at home. Successful day :). Only 364 more til I can officially order a drink with my family and not be the odd one out at our dinners....

Number Five: Yummy Yummy Fruit
Watermelon, pineapple, cantaloupe... everything from fruits to veggies just seem better in the summer time! My parents and I have been going to the produce stand practically every day. Today I had this cantaloupe, and it just seemed blog-worthy.
